Harrison Neighborhood Block Party

On Wednesday, August 15, our partner church Redeemer Lutheran church will host the 5th Annual Harrison Neighborhood Block Party, an emerging tradition for the members our community. At the Block Party individuals are given the opportunity to build relationships with one another. This is one way Redeemer works together to create a healthier community within their neighborhood. As I write this last Pastor’s Page I am filled with mixed emotions. I am looking forward with excitement to this next chapter in our family life and the opportunity to do some new and different things. It will be wonderful to be able to spend more time with family and to do some traveling to which we have been looking forward. For the past three years I have been blessed to be a part of youth ministry at Redeemer Lutheran Church and Redeemer Center for Life (RCFL) in north Minneapolis. After graduating from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a degree in Elementary Education, I joined Lutheran Volunteer Corps. Through LVC, I was selected to spend a year working at Redeemer. As I now completing my third year of employment at Redeemer, I wanted to share some thoughts.
Young Ringers’ Conference
July 10, 2007 — AngelaTwelve young ringers from Zion took time out of their summer to go to the Area VII Young Ringers Conference at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch in Stewartville, Minnesota. The ringers spent the weekend of June 29-July 1 at the camp, using their time to ring, ring, ring, and ring more handbells, go horseback riding, swim, master a climbing wall, and enjoy games and a campfire. A final concert at the camp on Sunday morning completed the weekend.
