On Wednesday, August 15, our partner church Redeemer Lutheran church will host the 5th Annual Harrison Neighborhood Block Party, an emerging tradition for the members our community. At the Block Party individuals are given the opportunity to build relationships with one another. This is one way Redeemer works together to create a healthier community within their neighborhood. Zion encourages members to participate in this event.
Activities include basketball, face paint, double-dutch, a cookie walk, relays, a raffle and music. Free hotdogs and hamburgers will be served, along with watermelon, corn on the cob, chips, veggies, fruit, ice-cream, lemonade, and soda.
Redeemer would also welcome Zion members to take part in the celebration by sharing your gifts. There are many ways to help, including facilitating activities, monetary donations to cover food and supply costs, in-kind donations, and groups willing to host tables.
