A few years ago in a previous interim assignment, the chairman of the Stewardship Committee used the following piece as devotions for a meeting of the committee. I shared it with our staff as devotions and it is linked here with the hope that it will at least give you a moment of pause for thought.

This will be a two-part new member meeting series on Wednesdays, May 14 and 21 from 5-8:00 p.m. Those that decide to become members will be formally received into our congregation on the following Sunday, May 25. If you’re not ready at this time to partner with Zion as members, you are welcome in worship and all church activities, and perhaps at a future time you will wish to become a member.
