Roof Replacement Approved

In a special meeting of the voting members of Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 13, for the sole purpose of considering a proposal from the Church Council that a contract, not to exceed $130,000.00, be entered into to install a new roof on the Zion building, the proposal was passed (102 Yes, 1 No).

Stewardship Survey

Transformational Stewardship: The Year of Discovery

For the past year a task force from Zion has met with a group of Lutheran churches and Kairos and Associates to transform our stewardship program into a more meaningful experience. For us, a “Year of Discovery” is an appropriate place to begin. Our task force has drafted a survey to assess our current stewardship culture. We encourage each confirmed member to complete the survey by August 17. It will take less than ten minutes and will provide valuable insight as to how our congregation feels about stewardship.

Zion Musicians at BJs

Tim Lungstrom and Carol Moore have been working on some music this summer and invite you to come down to BJ’s Deli and sit a spell! They are hoping to be outside weather permitting. But if not you can take your wonderful BJ’s snacks and mosey on inside.

Who: Tim Lungstrom and Carol Moore
What: A Gig consisting of more guitars than players! Folk, jazz, blues, bluegrass mostly acoustic but hey, it’s Tim!
Where: BJ’s Deli downtown Buffalo
When: Monday night July 21 7 p.m.
