Hello, or seulamas they would say in Amharic, the most common language spoken in Ethiopia. We have been home just over a month with our newest son, Eshetu, who was born and raised for the first three years of his life in Ethiopia. We are truly blessed to have him as part of our family. He has to be the most resilient child I have ever known-he is truly amazing!

My husband Cory and I had always talked about adopting a child together. We were blessed with three healthy biological children early on in our marriage. Cory thought that was a good place to stop. Me, on the other hand, I thought differently! In May 2007, we attended an informational meeting sponsored by Children’s Home Society and Family Services regarding adoption. Upon leaving the meeting, I knew we had a child waiting for us in Ethiopia.
