Last week Zion’s pipe organ received some TLC to get it back in shape. . .The reed pipes had been falling over by their own weight, one of the pipes was almost ruined.
The pipes were removed, repaired and straightened. Then they were reattached to the rack and tied into place with nylon ropes to prevent them from shifting again. The work was done by Michael G. Christian from Roscoe, MN, who tunes this organ on a regular basis.
