Barbary Coast Dixieland Band Services on October 19

The Barbary Coast Dixieland Band will be with us again this year on October 19, as they have for the past several years.

The Barbary Coast Band started playing together as a banjo band leading group singing at a peanut and beer shack in 1967, and have lead worship services of different denominations throughout the area since 1984.

This been a very popular and well attended worship experience at Zion.

They will participate in both the 8:30 and 10:30 services. Please come early and enjoy this unique worship opportunity.

St. Olaf Ensemble at Zion

Mark your calendars for the St. Olaf Handbell Choir concert, here at Zion on Sunday, November 16 at 2:00pm. Maria Squadroni, daughter of Minda and Joel Squadroni, is a member of the choir. A free will donation will be taken to cover travel costs for the choir.

HOH Working on Jewelry, Embroidery, and Mosaics

Please remember the Harvest Of Hands event when you are doing your fall gardening.  Jams, jellies, preserves, and dried flowers are great items for the event.

Jewelry and embroidered towels are hot items at the sale too.  If you like to make jewelry or embroider at home, please let Joy (658-6124) know.  Supplies are available so you can work on these items at home or at one of the craft sessions.

Also contact Joy if you have any experience with mosaic art.  The craft group would like to do some projects for the sale.

The Silent Auction baskets were such a hit last year that they will return again this year.  HOH is working with the Sunday School classes on this project, themes and suggested donation lists will be available next week.

Sympathy to the family of Cory Daniels

Cory passed away on Friday,  September 19.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Peterson Chapel. The funeral will be at Peterson Chapel on Wednesday, September 24 at 1pm.
