Blue Star Mothers of Wright County are collecting donations of items to send care packages to our troops this holiday season! Donations are being accepted at Zion through Monday November 24th.
Recommended items include:
- Food items: Individually wrapped packages, crackers, trail mix, sunflower seeds, cookies, breakfast bars, granola bars, fruit snacks & dried fruit, peanuts, beef jerky, hard candy, hot chocolate, cider, tea, coffee, powder drink mixes, Kool-Aid, soup mixes, hot cereal, oatmeal, cup of soup mix
- Personal items: Powder; foot & baby powder, baby wipes, lip balm w/spf, hand sanitizer, disposable hand & foot warmers, batteries, flashlights, combs, brushes, suntan lotion, Q-tips, Kleenex, books or magazines, disposable cameras, razors, hand cream, tide to go sticks,
- Misc. items: Phone calling cards, hand held games w/batteries, movies, comic books, activity books or puzzles, deck of cards, zip lock bags, stationary supplies, notebooks, pens, mini battery operated fans, calendars,
Blue Star Mothers is an organization of mothers who have children serving in the military. We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization. They support our children and each other by socializing and giving support, sending care packages, and doing various service projects. Meetings are the second Monday of each month at 7 pm at Zion . If you have a loved one serving overseas and would like them to receive a care package please contact us.
