Approval of the 10/1/08 minutes was tabled until the 11/12/08 meeting.
Pastor Hagen reported on his work with the executive committee and BridgeBuilders. He plans to secure an advisory team to council him, and to begin a discussion of how to refocus Zion on God’s mission and it’s calling.
Pastor Sogge spent a lot of time doing pastoral care in September, including five funerals and visitation to shut ins.
Rick Johnson presented an update on Redeemer Lutheran and the project they still hope to put in front of council.
The personnel committee reported on added some items to the standard ELCA Interim Pastor agreement.
The Personnel Committee was charged with working out the details of Pastor Becky’s sabbatical.
The Stewardship Committee reported on the “Transformational Stewardship” program
Dirk Foster is was elected Vice-President of the congregation.
A communication plan was adopted.
