Scrooge in Bethlehem

Scrooge in BethlehemThe Youth Choir is celebrating Christ’s birth in music and drama with “A Christmas Carol in Bethlehem” on Sunday, December 27, during the 8:30 and 10:30 worship services.

“A Christmas Carol in Bethlehem” is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ story that places Scrooge in Bethlehem at the birth of Christ. Through an inventive blend of scriptural narrative, character development and traditional English carols and hymns, it conveys with great warmth and charm the promise of salvation for all through the birth of Emmanuel, God with us.

We just did this musical last Sunday for 2 services. It was great. The youth choir did the acting and the Senior Choir did the music and the scripture reading from the balcony. The 2nd angel backed out and the minister stepped up to the plate!!
    One more performance.
A great script. We added a shepherd and had him say the quote.
Hope yours is a hit too! One little old lady said she was still in tears. Guess Tiny Tim’s boy soprano voice got her. He was great.
