You have been hearing for some time about the visioning process, Reaching for Tomorrow, which Zion is undertaking this year. It’s purpose is to evaluate our present state and discover how God is calling us as individuals and as a congregation to ministry in the next several years.
Our next step is to conduct a congregational assessment to give us a “picture” of what Zion looks like today. There is a basic principle which says if you don’t know who you are, you can’t know what you can become. To get a more accurate “snapshot” of Zion, our goal is to get 600 responses to this assessment, so the Vision Task Force really wants to hear from YOU!
Anyone at Zion, confirmation age and up, is invited and urged to complete the assessment, which will take about 20 minutes and be available during the month of February.
Online completion is preferred (www.ZionBuffalo.org/Assessment), but paper copies are available, as well as a place to complete them while at church.
All responses are anonymous and you’re encouraged to give your first response to each question.
The information gathered will be interpreted and summarized by an outside consultant and then shared with the congregation. It will then become a critical piece in our visioning process, which will continue to involve the congregation as we move forward.
The Vision Task Force welcomes your thoughts, insights and ideas. Please take a few minutes to complete the assessment this month. Join us in Reaching for Tomorrow—focusing our vision on God’s call—finding our gifts as disciples.
