The Hidden Hand of God

Wisdom Stories from Ruth, Daniel, and Esther

Three Women of Zion Circles are studying the wisdom stories of Ruth, Daniel 1-6, and Esther, and thinking about their call to discipleship in the complexity of today’s world, the risks God calls us to take as a part of faithful discipleship, how God sometimes seems hidden in our lives or in the lives of those we love, and how we are called to live through such times.

In January and February, the study focuses on Daniel‘s Fiery Faith. Have you ever found yourself in a “fiery furnace”? God was there with you.

Groups meet on the 3rd Tuesday morning, Thursday evening, and Sunday evening of each month.

The study guide in the Serendipity Study Bible is used.  This Bible is not a requirement, bring your own Bible, as different versions can give participants different insight. Prayer Sister Sign Up

What is a Prayer Sister? It is someone you are partnered with for the year, whom you remember in daily prayer. Secondly, you send cards and or gifts for special occasions, or whenever God moves you to do so, He knows when she needs a day brightener.

In December, the identity of your Prayer Sister is revealed to you at the annual Christmas Tea. This year’s Tea for 2007 participants will be on Saturday, December 1.

If you have never been a Prayer Sister, please consider it for 2008, it is a most rewarding “secret” program to be part of, and a great way to get to know another woman of Zion. Our goal is to have new prayer sisters assigned by the end of December, so please sign up early.
