Get To Know Some Kids

There are still many opportunities to be involved! Older kids can be mentors. This is a great opportunity to have fun while getting to know some of our kids a little bit better. Sunday, September 12th, (Homecoming Sunday) is the first opportunity to be a part of the very active Children’s team. We will need help with food, games, registrations and many other activities on this fun-filled day. Contact Holly or Roxie if you would like to volunteer for this exciting event .

Thank you so much to those of you who have already contacted us about sharing your time and talents with our Sunday School children this fall. We are excited for the opportunity to work with you in teaching our kids about our loving and eternal God.

Do you know who the “liturgical police” are? All of these things have something to do with Christian worship. Pastor Ted will lead an adult education session on “Make A joyful Noise – How Christians Worship.” We will look at historical, generational, and ethnic trends in Christian worship and have an opportunity to reflect on our own preferences for worship.

VBS: Journey To Egypt

At VBS this year, families will step back in time, exploring the life of Joseph in Egypt. During Vacation Bible School, we will explore how Joseph kept his focus on God, even in the midst of people, symbols, and images that were against God. Kids and adults participate in a memorable Bible-times marketplace, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into Egyptian eats, and visit Joseph in prison and then in his palace home. Everyone learns to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes at Celebration—a time of upbeat worship that gets everyone involved.

Egypt at Zion is for children ages 3-12 and will run from 9am to noon June 14-18.

If your child has not pre-registered online, please print a registration form at ZionBuffalo.org/VBS and bring it with you on June 14. Come early, about 8:30am, and use the doors closest to the office. (Children that are already registered will use the main doors).

How come God forgives us even when we do something really bad?

Now, some of their questions are being shared with the rest of the congregation on Zion‟s Facebook page. Here‟s what some of you said in response to the first question posted…

Pastor Ted set up his own Facebook profile in April and plans to use it as another tool to keep in touch with members of the congregation. If you use Facebook, Pastor Ted wants to be your friend!
