I too have a good story about how Ron saved my kitten. It was just before New Year’s Eve, and a new kitten we had for only about a week, was acting so sick and so we brought him in. We had fallen in love with Leo immediately. He had all sorts of problems but his one was urgent. Ron pumped water into his side because he was dehydrated, not drinking and had a urinary problem. He said to give a call if he seemed to not be better and still sick. We did need to bring him in once again and Ron was again helpful. He said to call him even though it was a holiday. But good little 4 pound Leo made it through. We will remember that and be thankful.

I could not agree more in regard to Ron Moore. We had a sick cat (diabetes) it was 10pm on a Sat. night and he met us at the clinic to administer what was needed to pull him out. He showed us how to care for our much loved cat. We were very thankful that he was there for us and willing to sacrifice his time for us. So thank you Mr. Moore, we truly appreciate your help in a time of need.

We received a note this morning on Zion’s Facebook page from Eric Burke, a member of the congregation who lives in Japan, son of Al & Sandra Burke:

“I am here on the outer edge of the severely damaged area. The news reports you may have seen are not exaggerating the scope of this disaster. Aftershocks are still continuing, and hundreds of thousands of people are huddled in school gymnasiums across Northern Japan with no heat, water, or blankets. Please contribute to help the people. ”

All of us at St MinneSomePlace were shocked and saddened to learn of David’s passing. He will be sorely missed at our PHlockings. David is the second inhabitant, following Don Meigel in December, of our Quaint Island to pass in the last couple of months. God must be starting is own St MinneSomePlace in Paradise. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the “keets during this time of grief.

Dave was a friend of mine at Robbinsdale HS (class of 75). We both played the trombone — I don’t know if he kept playing at all, but I still play in both the Army band and the Minneapolis Civic Orchestra. Unfortunately, we lost touch with each other through the years, but my memories of Dave are all good.
My deepest sympathy to his family in such a sudden loss of a husband and dad. It sounds like Dave was prepared to meet his maker — we never know when our time is up.
